NashCamp's home,
the Drouillard House Mansion, was built between 1868-70 to express
the love and lifestyle of a wealthy Southern belle and an honorable
Northern officer. It is the center piece of Cumberland Furnace
Plantation and nothing else like it was ever built in the area.
Sensitive,
detailed restoration and authentic Victorian furnishings are mixed
with modern amenities, such as central heat and air, private baths,
10 fireplaces, a new kitchen and comfortable antique beds; the best
of past and present! Newly constructed cabin bedrooms
surround the main house and provide comfortable housing for our
guests. These cabins have rocking chair porches, colorful rag
rugs, antiques and other unique accessories. |
| The Carriage House
(at right), with beamed ceiling and two sets of large double doors,
is the perfect place for NashCampers to gather. The stables
are breakout rooms for individual instrument classes and
workshops. This carriage house is where campers have an
opportunity to study in small intimate groups with the finest
musicians and songwriters Nashville has to offer. And of
course, there is a cozy campfire pit for late night jams and song
sharing. |
