Tom Adams joins NashCamp as the “Jam Master” and guitar player - welcome Tom! First gaining national recognition twenty-five years ago with Jimmy Martin and the Sunny Mountain Boys, 2009 marks the 40th year that Tom Adams has been playing music.

Described by Ricky Skaggs as “one of the best banjo players ever” Tom is known for the impeccable drive and timing of his right hand and for turning new phrases from traditional Scruggs-style licks.

Tom has collaborated onstage and in the studio with some of the most well-known and highly acclaimed bluegrass artists of the past two decades – the Johnson Mountain Boys, Lynn Morris, Blue Highway, Rhonda Vincent and Dale Ann Bradley.

His two solo all-instrumental albums were followed with a collection of fiddle and banjo duets with Michael Cleveland, Live at the Ragged Edge, named the 2004 IBMA Instrumental Album of the Year.

In August 2009, Tom joined Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper as guitar player and lead singer. In addition, Tom has written the "Adams County Banjo" column for Banjo Newsletter magazine for the past ten years, adapting tunes from many genres to the 5-string banjo.
